Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, including our alumni, Memorial University has enjoyed another year of growth and success.
Almost 6,000 alumni and other friends, including corporations, foundations and government, donated $3.1 million to Memorial and pledged a further $2.2 million.
With these funds, we supported existing student scholarships and bursaries and created 23 additional ones. We also purchased teaching and research equipment and renovated some teaching areas.
Thanks to the generous support from the International Nickel Company (Inco), we have also begun the transformation of the old Thomson Student Centre into the Inco Innovation Centre, a centre for research and development.
If you or your organization can make a contribution to Memorial today, it will help change the lives of students for years to come. You can learn more about supporting Memorial through our Office of Alumni Affairs and Development.
