International Student Groups
With more than 1,400 international students, you are bound to find a student group with similar backgrounds or interests to your own. There are faith-based groups, national groups, activities-based groups and many more. And, if there is not a group there that interests you – you can always start your own.
We are all concerned about safety. Fortunately, Newfoundland boasts some of the lowest crime rates in North America. But to make you feel extra safe and secure we have our own patrol officers who keep an eye on things morning, noon and night, plus WalkSafe and SafeDrive programs run by our students’ union, MUNSU. On top of that, we have a series of tunnels and skywalks (the MUNnels) that connect many of our buildings keeping you safe (and dry) through all kinds of weather.
Applying to Memorial is as easy as clicking the Apply icon on the left. We can evaluate many international curricula from from national curricula to AP, CBSE, GCE, IB, etc. English is the language of instruction at Memorial, so we do require proof of English proficiency. If you don't meet the English requirements, we have an ESL program where you can improve your English abilities to reach a level necessary for our academic programs.
