Thursday June 3, 2010
This Environment Week take a few minutes to do something for your favourite outdoor space at MUN. Join the Sustainability Office and Housing, Food and Conference Services in celebrating Environment Week by cleaning up an area close to your office, where you sit for your coffee break or where you like to walk at lunchtime. Let’s make a commitment to keep MUN clean.
Register with the Sustainability Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 864-2637 to let us know where and when you’ll be cleaning up and we’ll provide you with bags if needed.
Staff from Housing, Food and Conference Services and the Sustainability Office will be at Burton’s Pond at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010. Contact email@example.com if you would like to join us there. See below for a list of offices taking part.
Canadian Environment Week is held during the first week of June to coincide with World Environment Day (June 5). This special day was designated by the United Nations in 1972 to stimulate action on the environment and empower people from every corner of the globe to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development.
