Printer Cartridge Recycling

Do your part to help the environment - recycle your printer cartridges

pic of toners

Every year in North America, about 300 million used cartridges are dumped in the garbage. That means eight cartridges are thrown away every second. Stacked end-to-end, these wasted cartridges in one year would cover a distance of more than 40,000 kms—enough to circle the earth.*

Please note: DO NOT send your used printer cartridges via internal mail to the Sustainability Office as we are no longer accepting printer cartridges to be recycled.

To recycle all new and remanufactured printer cartridges (laser and inkjet) EXCEPT XEROX

When you have several cartridges ready to be recycled, call Kel-Tech Laser Inc. directly at 726-2629 to arrange to have them picked up.

The order form and pricing information to purchase remanufactured printer cartridges from Kel-Tech is now available online.

You can also drop off your used cartridges in the collection box located in Life Sciences Stores (SN1107).
