SPEP, one of the largest American philosophical societies, is a
professional organization devoted to supporting philosophy by
continental European traditions. Its annual meeting is designed to
bring together those interested in and working on issues derived
from this philosophical tradition. Some of the highlights of the
event was having the opportunity to meet graduate and undergraduate
students and to learn about there interests and programs. As well
as hearing a speech from the famous philosopher, Etienne Balibar.
The event helped to see, first hand, how philosophy worked as a
profession.
