Event: CIS Curling Championships

The MUN Men’s Curling Team traveled to Ontario on March 12 to attend the CIS Curling Championships. The team was compromised of five curlers who all attend Memorial. The athletes were chosen based on an All Star selection in November 2007 hoping that each individual would go together as a team and motivate each other. Bob Osborne, couch was very impressed with the team saying it was like they were playing curling together for years. The highlights of the championships were that they came in 2nd place in there division and made the playoffs. It was a great success as the team was only formed in November 2007.
