Conference: Annual National Conference of the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA)

The purpose of the Canadian Pharmacists Association annual conference is to bring together pharmacists and pharmacy students from across Canada to share in professional development, new health and drug innovations and camaraderie. At the CPhA conference, meetings for the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Students and Interns (CAPSI) also took place. As a chair of the Professional Development Week 2009, Robin Clouston presented at the CAPSI about her conference planning for PDW 2009.

Robin agrees that this conference has been beneficial to the group of the Professional Development Week 2009. She has had the opportunity to talk with the executive of CAPSI which was valuable. She also spoke to many potential sponsors and health fair participants at the Canadian Pharmacists Association.

The opportunity to converse with students and pharmacists from across Canada is rare and valuable. At the conference Robin learned to reach further, both professionally as a student and conference chair and personally.
