The goal of this event was for medical students from around North America to come together and discuss women’s reproductive health, allowing medical students to learn from faculty with extensive experience in obstetrics and gynecology. Some highlights from this conference included learning about the history of reproductive rights in Canada versus in the United States, participating in a hands-on workshop practicing certain medical contraceptive procedures, learning about new contraceptive techniques versus older ones, and hearing from a panel of abortion providers from both Canada and the US. We also had the opportunity to meet with MSFC chapters from other Canadian schools to discuss their ongoing activities and curriculum.
