Conference: 69th Annual Convention of the Canadian Psychological Association
The annual convention of the Canadian Psychological Association is a gathering for all psychologists (student’s, researchers, practitioners, and professors) to discuss policy, ongoing research, and other information important to the profession. All students who attended the convention presented research conducted at Memorial University.
Some of the highlights of this event was presenting research to fellow students and researchers and receiving feedback. Listening to presentations by invited speakers from numerous areas of psychology and also networking with established researchers.
The Canadian Psychological Association has been beneficial to the MUN Psychology Society because it provided them with new ideas for potential research, it provided first time presenters with the skills for future presentations and provided the students with a greater understanding of the wider world of psychology.
