FAQs

1. When will I know if I am a Group Leader or an Event Leader?
We are hoping we will be able to send out what your role will be specifically in early August, but no promises! You may not know until the day of training.

2. Will I be fed on all three days?
Yes, lunch and snacks will be provided each day. Please advise us if you have any allergies or diet restrictions!

3. Will I get a t-shirt?
You sure will! We are going with black t-shirts for volunteers this year. You will get yours on the day of training.

4. What if I have to leave? Can I come back?
You will sign in each day when you arrive. If you have to leave, you just sign out with your OAC and sign back in when you return.

5. Do I have to stay the whole time?
We would really appreciate it! There is a lot to be done throughout the entire day, and the more hands we have, the better and smoother the event runs. But if you have to leave, just be sure to sign out.

6. I signed up to be a Group Leader, but I now want to be an Event Leader. Can I change that? (and vice versa)
Roles for volunteers are yet to be chosen, so if you want to specify differently, email us and we'll make note of it!

7. How many hours will I get towards my VIP hours?
If you stay for the entire event, you should earn 16 hours of volunteer time. We can't guarantee that as of now, because planning is still in progress, but it should be in that ball park.

8. What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable! Especially comfy shoes. You'll be moving around a lot, and on your feet for the majority of the day. And don't forget to wear your I <3 MUN t-shirt!

9. What should I bring?
You don't have to bring anything but yourself and any papers you received during training. But if you anticipate being hungry even after we provide lunch, feel free to bring some snacks to munch on during the day.

10. Will there be a safe place to store my belongings (wallet, purse, jacket)?
There will be a room for you to put your stuff and there will be someone in the room at all times to watch your stuff. But if you don't need it, best to leave it at home.
