The MSW PATHWAY and Pathway Scholarship Manual is your guide to the processes and products for the MSW PATHWAY and Pathway Scholarship requirements of the MSW program commencing September, 2011
All students entering the Masters of Social Work Program beginning Fall 2011 must complete PATHWAY (SCWK 6000). Full time students will enrol in SCWK 6000 in Fall 2011. Part-time students completing the program in six semesters will enrol in Fall 2011. Part-time students completing the program in nine semesters will enrol in Fall 2012.
PATHWAY (SCWK 6000) is a mentor based course for students to develop leadership and specialization in social work. For course route students, PATHWAY will culminate in Pathway Scholarship (SCWK 6417), the completion of a scholarly product that reflects the student's learning while in the program. For thesis route students, PATHWAY is the foundation for completion of a thesis.
As this program is new, revisions to this manual will be made over the coming year to continue to refine and clarify the processes. For the most up-to-date version of this manual and in interest of being environmentally friendly, check back here for a synopsis of the revisions/additions to this version dated August 1, 2011. We will inform you when revised versions of the manual are posted. MSW PATHWAY and Pathway Scholarship Manual.
