We've Moved!

As part of the university’s infrastructure plan, work has been tendered to renovate and update the School of Social Work at St. John’s College. The School of Social Work has moved to facilitate this renovation, primarily to Coughlan College, and also to Tiffany Court.

All contact information for faculty and staff, i.e. phone numbers and email addresses, will remain the same

 

Applications to the BSW Program

The application deadline for both BSW Programs (as a First Degree and as a Second Degree) for the 2015-2016 application year has passed. All applicants will be notified of admissions decisions at the end of June.

Applications to the MSW Program

All application forms and accompanying documents for admission to the MSW program, which begins in Sept. each year, must be submitted to the School of Graduate Studies on or before the deadline of January 15 in any year.

Applications to the PhD Program

Deadline to receive applications and all documents for the next intake of our PhD program beginning in spring 2015 was Nov. 1, 2014. Thank you for your interest.

The next deadline for new applicants for the 2017 intake is Nov. 1, 2016.

Online Field Instructor Course

The Field Education Team at the School of Social Work is pleased to announce that the new field instructor course was made available online as of February 2013. The course is free of charge to any social worker who wants to learn more about field instruction and becoming a field instructor. Read more

Social Work at Tiffany Court

As part of the growth at Memorial and at the School of Social Work, in the fall of 2012 we joined Nursing, Pharmacy, and Psychology at Memorial’s Tiffany Court location in the east end of St. John’s.

Our classrooms at Tiffany Court welcomed the first students in Sept. 2012 and will now be welcoming even more of our students while renovations are taking place at St. John's College.

Our Field Education Team is now located at Tiffany Court. There are also some faculty offices there, as well as Wi-Fi, a photocopier, and free parking.
