Discontinuation of the Graduate Research Integrity Program (GRIP)
Further to Senate approval February 14, 2012, the calendar entry for 126.96.36.199 Graduate Student Conduct has been revised. Completion of the Graduate Research Integrity Program (GRIP) is no longer a program requirement. All graduate students must review and understand the information on the Integrity and Ethics – Scholarly Essentials web page, http://www.mun.ca/sgs/current/essentials/.
Although the Graduate Research Integrity Program (GRIP) was discontinued effective February 2012, the School of Graduate Studies will provide a final offering during Winter 2013.
Completion of the program during this offering is not mandatory. Students who wish to complete GRIP and receive a transcript annotation can register for GRIP (GRAD 9991, CRN 66423). An online global workshop will be held during the Winter semester through which students will fulfill the final GRIP requirement.
Students who have previously registered for GRIP and have a grade of GNR (Grade Not Received) or INC (Incomplete) should not register a second time for GRIP. These students can contact Elizabeth Noseworthy, firstname.lastname@example.org, to request access to the Winter offering of GRIP.
