“My name is Nikita Blair and I’m from Churchill Falls (Labrador). I’m going to MUN to get a degree in Education and become a Primary/Elementary Teacher. This scholarship will help significantly with the cost of schooling and the cost of flying home after semesters”.

“My name is Julie Warren, and I am from Clarke’s Head, NL. I graduated from Riverwood Academy in June, and am heading to Memorial in the fall to complete a Bachelor of Science, and then hopefully go on to become a toxicologist. Receiving the Dr. Leslie Harris Memorial University Alumni Association Scholarship has made me look forward to going to MUN even more than before and I am sure that it will make my experience much easier and much more enjoyable”.

Receiving this award is what swayed me to enroll at Memorial University; up until that point, I had planned to attend Keyin Technical College to become a Funeral Director.
