Phase One Template Submissions
Phase One of the Research Plan development process began in November 2009 with a detailed questionnaire designed to help develop an overview of Memorial’s research strengths, needs, and opportunities.
The questionnaire was sent to the deans and directors of academic units as well as non-academic units with research-related mandates.
- Section one of the questionnaire asked about each unit’s demographics, personnel, infrastructure, instruments, funding sources, knowledge transfer and exchange activities, and other research supports.
- Section two asked each unit to identify areas of current research strength, as well as the relevant partners (inside and outside Memorial) and opportunities for continued/improved strength in the area.
- Section three asked each unit to identify areas of potential research strength, as well as the relevant partners (inside and outside Memorial) and opportunities to realize the potential strength in the area.
