Background Report to the Development of the Memorial University Research Plan
A comprehensive background report highlighting the history and current status of research at Memorial was issued on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010.
The 58-page document provides an external scan of key partners
and sources of support for research from outside the
university.
The report also includes an overview of some research priorities of community, business and regional partners from across Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Background Report to the Development of the Memorial University Research Plan will be utilized during strategic meetings the university will begin holding in the coming days with internal groups, as well as during discussions with key stakeholders including business and industry.
In November 2009 Memorial announced its intent to develop a new research plan capturing the university’s research strengths, activities and future goals.
A finalized report is expected by summer 2010.
