Ahmad Jafari

Ahmad Jafari is working towards a PhD and the area is civil engineering at Memorial. From Iran, he received his B.Sc. in civil engineering from University of Tehran, Iran. “I enjoy doing research and teaching at a university. Therefore, I decided to pursue my graduate studies. I was interested in the proposed research area in the field earthquake engineering available at Memorial and the facilities are good in this university. The qualified faculty and friendly environment at Memorial are definitely advantages of studying here.”

“I think here is the most peaceful city in this world and people are great and friendly. Outside of my studies I enjoy traveling around St. John's, hiking, biking and watching movies.”

Ahmand is a Memorial University Fellow of the school of graduate studies. After completing his degree he plans to teach and perform research at a university.
