Memorial begins search for key leadership position
Memorial University is searching for a candidate to fill a key leadership position on its senior executive.
A search committee has been named to recruit the position of vice-president (academic) and pro vice-chancellor.
Dr. Gary Kachanoski, Memorial’s president and vice-chancellor, is chairing the committee, which includes faculty, staff and students.
Since the summer of 2009, the position has been filled pro tempore by Dr. Reeta Tremblay, who will leave Memorial later this year to become vice-president (academic) at the University of Victoria.
The search committee has contracted the services of Janet Wright and Associates, one of the country’s top higher education executive search firms, to facilitate its work.
The search will be extensive and is expected to continue into the late fall.
Opportunities for input, consultation and participation will be communicated and updates posted to this site as the search progresses.
