Procedure for Naming Opportunities-donors and Distinguished Persons
- The Board maintains a listing of facilities and other naming opportunities it is prepared to consider.
- Any interested person, including a potential donor, should make an initial approach to the Director of Alumni Affairs and Development. The present list, entitled, Leaving a Legacy: Naming and Endowment Opportunities, is subject to change by the Board and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of the opportunities presently available.
- The President will inform the Chair of the Campus Planning and Development Committee and its other members, of any approaches by a potential donor. Absent contrary direction from the Chair or the Committee, the President or his delegate will then undertake consultation with the University community and specifically with any individuals deemed appropriate by the President.
- The President or delegate will report the results of these consultations to the Committee, which will then report to the Board with such recommendations as they deem appropriate.
