PROCEDURE FOR ACKNOWLEDGING A WORKPLACE ACCOMMODATION

  

1.    Upon receipt of the Request for Workplace Accommodation Form the Academic or Non Academic Administrator is encouraged to contact the Department of Human Resources or the Office of Faculty Relations for advice and guidance. 

2.    The Academic or Non Academic Administrator meets, within a reasonable time frame, with the employee to confidentially discuss the request.

3.    The Academic or Non Academic Administrator consults with the Department of Human Resources or the Office of Faculty Relations as appropriate, who acknowledges the employee’s request.

4.    The Department of Human Resources or the Office of Faculty Relations works with the referring Academic or Non Academic Administrator and employee to assess the request, and when appropriate, develops and implements a workplace accommodation. All requests for workplace accommodation are considered on an individual basis.
