Procedure for Information Technology Projects with Expected Total Project Cost Between $100,000 and $500,000

Project proponents must develop a project report for submission to the CIO prior to beginning the acquisition process for the new technology. The report will provide information on the requirements to be satisfied in the project, technology requirements, expected outcomes and planned level of communication with the university community. The report will help in the dissemination of information about the project and will allow the CIO to propose existing information technology as possible solutions, should any exist. Project proponents are encouraged to proceed with their own investigation of possible solutions from existing university information technology. The CIO may request further information from the project proponent.
