Purpose:To support permanent displaced employees in attempting to locate alternative suitable employment within the University. |

Scope:All non-bargaining permanent non-academic employees of Memorial University. |

Definitions:Displaced Employee: cases where employees are transferred due to the closure of a Department or Section or where there is a change in departmental or university structure which negates the function of the appointment or involves an adjustment in staff performing such functions. | ||||||||||||||||
Policy:Memorial University is committed to making every effort to place a displaced permanent non-bargaining employee in a suitable position for which the employee is qualified by education, training, and experience. | ||||||||||||||||
