Staff Reallocation

  

Purpose:

To support permanent displaced employees in attempting to locate alternative suitable employment within the University.

 

Scope:

All non-bargaining permanent non-academic employees of Memorial University.

 

Definitions:

Displaced Employee: cases where employees are transferred due to the closure of a Department or Section or where there is a change in departmental or university structure which negates the function of the appointment or involves an adjustment in staff performing such functions.

 

Policy:

Memorial University is committed to making every effort to place a displaced permanent non-bargaining employee in a suitable position for which the employee is qualified by education, training, and experience.
