Board of Regents approves two policies
The most recent meeting of the Board of Regents saw the adoption of two policies – one new and one a revision.
The new Intellectual Property policy is modeled after the MUNFA collective agreement article which addresses intellectual property, Article 27 and provides for a comprehensive scope of applicability.
The Space policy which was formerly titled “Space Planning and Administration” is applicable at the St. John’s campus excluding the Marine Institute and the Health Sciences Centre. It defines the ownership of University space as that of the University as a whole and provides a coordinated and strategic approach to allocation of space.
Both of these come into effect on September 1, 2008 and are available at http://www.mun.ca/policy.
At its meeting June 26, 2008, the Board’s Policy Oversight Committee approved proposals for Conflict of Interest (revision), Travel – Prospective Employee Interview (revision) and Relocation – Postdoctoral fellows (revision).
