The David Goudie Memorial Award in Pharmacy
David Goudie was a prominent pharmacist from the Deer Lake region who exemplified the characteristics of hard work, determination and humility. David was dedicated to his patients well-being and demonstrated this through his philanthropy of time, service and financial support. David was known for his love of mentoring new pharmacists and employees and as a person who was highly regarded as a community leader in the Port Aux Basques region.
The Award will be granted to a student who has graduated from a Newfoundland and Labrador Secondary School and who is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) program at the School of Pharmacy. The student will have demonstrated an interest in practicing in a rural location. To be eligible, students must meet the minimum academic requirements for an award.
The award is valued at $500 annually.
