Our Research

Our research informs our teaching and clinical practice and also plays a vital role in the discovery and development of new drugs, pharmaceutical formulations, health and pharmaceutical policy and many other related areas. We take great pride in the research that is being accomplished at the School of Pharmacy. With your support we will be able to continue to undertake research that has tangible benefits for the people of Newfoundland and Labrador and citizens around the world.

Undergraduate Research Scholarships
Our undergraduate students are a group of remarkable individuals with a zest for creativity and a passion for discovery. We are committed to fostering a community of student-researchers who will undertake important knowledge development projects in a highly ethical manner. The ability to offer summer undergraduate research scholarships allows us to hone the research, problem solving and critical thinking skills of our students who demonstrate an aptitude for pharmacy research.

Graduate Research Fellowships
The need for fellowships has never been higher as we continue to bring in top students from around the world. Fellowships support our graduate students in their efforts to produce research that will enhance pharmacy practice, drug discovery and development, dosage form design, health policy and other niche areas of pharmacy research. Graduate students also provide invaluable assistance in course delivery and teaching activities. The ability to offer financial assistance to our graduate students enables us to create the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists, advanced practitioners, instructors and scholars.
