Q: How do I log on to the system in the conference room?

A:

The OSC conference room is equipped with a multimedia desk which contains a PC with MUN network access as well as a LCD projector with smart board and an overhead document camera. The PC system does not require a user to login and will initialize a standard Microsoft Windows XP Pro desktop by default. This PC is operating in "kiosk" mode; that is to say, the Microsoft Windows operating system is refreshed with each system restart. Should you encounter an error, restart Windows and the system will automatically refresh all settings. A help menu on the challenger PC is available with a graphical walk-through on how to use these systems. The computer is also equipped with a gyroscopic wireless mouse and keyboard. The gyro mouse can function as a standard optical desktop mouse but if gripped in the hand and with the underside trigger button depressed, will activate internal gyro sensors which allow you to use it as a wireless mouse wand to move the mouse cursor. A spare-precharged batery is available should you require one for the gyro mouse during your presentation. If you need to log in to one of the OSC server accounts, you should click on the folder "Network Drive Access" and authenticate your session. Please view the screen captures below for clarification:
