Q: Does OSCit supply an antivirus for my PC?

Departmental PCs:
For PCs which belong into the OSCit general management template, OSCit will supply a Mcafee Antivirus license and software. For PCs/Laptops owned by individual grant holders (eg. Faculty research PCs), it is mandatory that you purchase a license per PC from your grant. OSCit will install the software for your PCs. The license must be renewed every three years.
Personal PCs:
OSCit does not provide any licenses for personal PCs. You are required to maintain an approved antivirus on your personal PC in order to attach it to the MUN network. OSCit are not required to install or maintain any antivirus software on a personally owned computer. An adequate freely available antivirus for personal/home computers can be found here:
