Jerry O'Reilly

Jerry O`Reilly from Dublin is a singer and dancer. A founding and active member of Brooks Academy, he teaches a weekly dance class there. In addition, he teaches annually at a number of events around Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States and has taught dancing at the North American Convention of Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Eireann, Feile Cois Chuain, the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention in Aberdeen in 2006.

As a singer, Jerry is one of the organisers of the Goilín Traditional Singers Club in Dublin, a highly regarded and long running singing club in Ireland. Recording Down from Your Pulpits, Down from Your Thrones in 2003, Jerry has also been involved with the production of several fine CDs of traditional singing in English and the Irish language. Recent projects include Around the Hills of Clare, a CD of archive recordings from the Jim Carroll and Pat MacKenzie collection; The Spoons Murder and Other Mysteries; a book and CD of the songs of Con “Fada” O’ Drisceóil, and Cascades of Song, a recording of the Clare Festival of Traditional Singing.
