Haugaard and Høirup (Denmark)
Violinist Harald Haugaard and
guitarist Morten Alfred Høirup's duo, formed in 1998,
has become one of the most successful collaborations in Danish folk
music history. Their concerts, both in intimate venues and on some
of the largest stages of European, North American and Japanese
music festivals, have given Danish folk music a new recognition to
enthusiastic audiences. They have received outstanding reviews and
have made innumerable radio and TV appearances. Haugaard &
Høirup currently have six award winning CDs out; the latest,
Rejsedage/Travelling, was released in April of 2008. Earlier
CD's include Duo for Violin & Guitar (1999),
Let’s Dansk (2001), Lys/Light (2001), In the
