Kristen Harris Walsh ( Canada - NL)
Kristin holds a fine arts
degree from York University
and she is a
doctoral candidate with Memorial University's
Folklore Department. Her current work focuses on traditional dance
in Newfoundland.
Kristin has been dancing since she could walk, and has formal
training in ballet, modern and step dance (Irish-Newfoundland and
traditional Irish step dance styles). She began step dancing in
2000 and has trained in both Newfoundland
and
. She has taught
numerous workshops and classes to both adults and children, and
performed in festivals and concerts across the Avalon
Peninsula.
