Screening and discussion of Bernd Schoch's 2011 documentary about the Schlippenbach Trio, one of the most significant and longest-standing ensembles in experimental jazz and improvised music featuring pianist Alexander von Schlippenbach, saxophonist Evan Parker, and drummer Paul Lovens.

This day-long symposium will feature presentations by researchers and music festival programmers from across Newfoundland to explore the potential of arts festivals to promote social change.
