A native of Toronto, Ontario, Leslee Heys and her family moved to Newfoundland and Labrador ten years ago. She enjoys a busy schedule of accompanying, vocal coaching, chamber playing, and serves as principal keyboardist for the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. In addition to a dynamic private piano studio, Leslee teaches keyboard harmony at Memorial University. Her skills as a coach/accompanist have led to her participation in such national events as the rESOund Festival of Contemporary Music in Edmonton. Live recordings of her numerous collaborations with local and visiting artists have been aired on CBC Radio. Ms. Heys received a Bachelor of Music Performance from the University of Toronto, and has recently returned from London, Ontario, where she completed a Master's of Music Performance at the University of Western Ontario, specializing in Collaborative Piano.
