Eldon Murray, native of St. Alban's, Newfoundland, received his Bachelor of Music degree from Mount Allison University, and a Master’s Degree with distinction in vocal accompanying and coaching from Westminster Choir College of Rider University. His primary instructors were Dalton Baldwin, J.J. Penna, and Metropolitan Opera conductor Daniel Beckwith. In 2006, he accompanied the Westminster Opera Theatre production of Gianni Schicchi, and returned as assistant music director for L'enfant et les sortilèges, Il re pastore, and Dialogues des Carmélites. He was also a coach/répétiteur for the CoOPERAtive program in Princeton from 2007 to 2009. Eldon has recently returned to Newfoundland after completing language studies in Vienna, Austria.
