Sergeants Mess of Newfoundland Entrance Scholarship
From the revenue accruing from War Savings Bonds purchased in 1940 by the Sergeants Mess of Newfoundland, a fund was established in 1990 to provide an annual scholarship of not less than $500.00 to a student entering the first semester of full-time study in the School of Music. Academic excellence and musical potential as demonstrated at the entrance audition will be considered. The award is made by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards on the recommendation of the Director, School of Music.
