HOW TO PARTICIPATE / WINNER DETERMINATION The Tournament will start at 7:00 pm to 9:00pm on Friday October 29th at the Breezeway. The Tournament Period consists of a single round of gameplay to determine one (1) Overall Champion. During the Tournament Period, each Band will compete by participating in one (1) gameplay session. A gameplay session is defined as playing one (1) song of the Band’s choice from among the available “in-game” options in the Rock Band Xbox 360 video game. Limit one (1) gameplay session per Band. At the end of a gameplay session, the Band’s in-game score will be recorded. When the song / gameplay session is over DO NOT PLAY ANY MORE NOTES! The judges will need to record your score. If you skip past the scoring screen before the judges can record your score, your Band will automatically be disqualified from the Tournament. Further more your total score will also be determined by a panel of judges in relation to stage presence, crowd reaction, and over all reaction If all registered members of a Band are not present within five (5) minutes of the scheduled start time for the Band’s gameplay session, the entire Band will forfeit, and the next Band will be invited to participate instead. At the end of the Tournament Period, the Band with the highest overall score will be named the Overall Champion. In the event of a tie, the tied Bands will participate in a Tie Breaker Round. During the Tie Breaker Round, each Band will play one (1) song of the Band’s choice from among the available “in game” options in the Rock Band Xbox 360 video game. At the end of the Tie Breaker Round, the Band with the highest overall score will be named the Overall Champion.

BREAKDOWN OF SCORING METHOD. The total possible score is 30. This is divided into 3 sections: difficulty, execution, and performance (each having 10 possible points). Breakdown:

DIFFICULTY
Difficulty is a accumulative score based upon the band members choice of difficulty (easy=0, medium=1, hard=2, expert=3). the difficulty choice was added up and maxed out at 10 (if all 4 picked expert it was still 10 points not 12). This allows for the band to take some weight off their weaker members and put it onto the shoulders of their expert players.

EXECUTION
The execution score is based on the %'s at the end of a song. 80%=0, 81-82=1pt, 83-84=2pts....89-90=5pts, 91-92=6pts...97-99=9pts, and 100%=10pts. Each band member would get a 1 to 10 score, and the band's score was the average of those scores (Ex: Bass=90%, Guitar=80%, vocals=91%, Drums=100% the band would have a 5.25)

PERFORMANCE
Performance is a completely subjective category. The judges will simply score the band as a whole on a 1 to 10 scale and take the average of the judges.

When you add the 3 scores up and you wind up with the band's score
