Getting Started

What is Site Builder?

Site Builder is a web-based tool that allows departments, faculties and other organizations to produce web pages that are consistent with the design of the Memorial's official web site.

Site Builder makes it quick and easy for departments to post and update their web pages, without requiring special software, knowledge of HTML or experience in transferring files to a web server.

Site Builder uses an editor that looks and functions much like word processing programs such as Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect. You simply fill in the content that you want.

How do I get access to Site Builder?

Site Builder is located on a Unix-based system run by ccwebworks at Computing and Communications. Please contact Paul Whittle at Web Content Services to have a website set up.

Site Builder

Once you have a website on Site Builder, you can log into this system via the web, using your MUN login information.

The MUN Login is the same user name and password you may already use to access mymun.ca. If you don’t have a MUN Login, you get one online by visiting https://login.mun.ca. Click on ‘Setup your account’ and follow the steps.

After you get a MUN Login, go to http://builder.ucs.mun.ca and fill in your user name and password.

Once you have logged in, you will have access to Site Builder. On the top right side of the screen, you will see a drop-down list. Your site should be the only one there unless you maintain an additional site.

Important note:

Site Builder supports the following browsers but it is recommended you use Firefox for best results.
