Online Testing Services

The Division of Lifelong Learning facilitates a number of online testing and assessment services.

These services give the residents of Newfoundland and Labrador access to many of the leading admissions exams; e.g., GRE, as well as a comprehensive list of certification and licensing exams sponsored by corporations, government agencies and professional associations.

Note: Not all tests/assessments are available in every Prometric testing centre.


Prometric

Prometric is one of the world's largest private educational testing and assessment services. As a Prometric testing centre, the Division is able to provide online testing services for such leading assessments as:

Pearson VUE is amongst the earliest pioneers in the electronic testing industry. As a Pearson VUE testing centre, the Division is able to provide local access to the:

• Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).

How to Register for a Test
To register for an exam, you must contact the agency sponsoring your test; e.g., Prometric for the GRE.

On the Day of Your Exam
You are asked to arrive one-half-hour prior to your exam time in order to be processed. During processing, you will be asked to present a signed photo ID (drivers licence or passport recommended), and you will be photographed for exam security documentation. (Subject images must be unobstructed and otherwise free of impediments to identification.)

Prior to proceeding into the exam centre, you will be asked to secure all personal objects in lockers provided on-site by the testing centre. Note: The Division of Lifelong Learning does not accept responsibility for lost or stolen property.

Objects not expressly authorized by the centre for the purpose of conducting an exam, will not be allowed into the testing facility. These objects may include, but are not limited to:

• cell phones or other any communication devices,
• any form of recording equipment,
• books,
• notepads,
• purses,
• knapsacks,
• pens or pencils not provided by the centre.

Testing Centre Location
The testing centre is located in the Division of Lifelong Learning, Rm. SP4004 (Spencer Hall), 220 Prince Philip Drive (Bldg. #32 on the campus map), on the St. John's campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland.
