Effective Leadership
Leadership can be demonstrated by individuals at all levels in an organization. It’s about helping others to realize their potential, and perhaps, to go beyond. You’ll begin by examining key leadership skills and methods for improving your overall effectiveness as a leader. Discussions will include what it takes to lead in difficult times and the leader's role in communicating, setting direction, managing change, strategic thinking, improving organizational performance, coaching, motivating and inspiring.
Project Management
The success of any project depends on the effectiveness of how it is managed. With the heavy focus today on project-based undertakings, proven project management skills are more than just an asset, they're a necessity. In Project Management, you'll be introduced to the principles and practices of effective project management including: setting goals, assigning priorities to tasks, considering budgetary constraints, assessing performance at critical stages in the project, dealing with unanticipated situations and meeting deadlines.
Time Management: Getting the Most Out of Your Day
Everyone complains about not having enough time! In reality, you have more than you think; you just don't use it well or in a way that suits your style! Learn how to set realistic objectives then how to prioritize them; how to work through others, to develop short- and long-term plans and how to cope with time wasters that get in the way of effective time utilization.

Making the transition from working beside fellow employees to supervising them can be both exciting and challenging for everyone involved. It's a different working relationship requiring a different set of skills. This class will identify those skills you need to function effectively in a supervisory role.
Dealing with Difficult People
Difficult personalities are a fact of life. They are in the workplace and in our personal lives. This class has been designed to help you recognize difficult personalities and situations and show you how good communications skills can put you in control.
Writing Right
If you can't remember the difference between a conjunction and a preposition, this is the class for you! The class examines the mechanics of grammar, teaches you how to produce well-constructed sentences and introduces you to techniques for writing effective paragraphs.
