Discover the world of creepies and crawlies!! In the process, you'll develop an awareness of and an appreciation for the uniqueness of insects and the important role they play in our environment.

Camp Idol
If you love the hit television shows (American/Canadian Idol), you’ll love this camp! Re-create the excitement of the competition, without the judging. Everyone's welcome, regardless of his or her singing ability!

Camp Paleo: Digging up Bones
Through a series of "digs" and other activities, you'll learn the basics of archaeological investigation. This is a camp you can really get your hands into!

Camp Survivor
You and your "tribe" will be confronted with a variety of challenges that will have you building your outdoor survival skills.

Circus! Circus!
It's not very often you're asked to come to university to clown around! But that's definitely the case for this camp. You'll get an insiders look at what it takes to earn a place under the big top.

Crazy Chemistry
Chemistry isn't just a subject you learn in school. Chemistry is at work all around you: in your food, in the air you breathe and in the clothes you wear. You'll observe, investigate and experiment your way to a new appreciation of our "mixed-up" world!

CSI St. John's
How do the crime scene investigators do it? Learn about and experiment with the technology of basic forensic science, en route to solving crimes.

Drawing School
Using a variety of drawing materials, you'll learn the basics of line, form and colour. You'll then use what you've learned to create and animate your own cartoons.

Drawing and Painting
You'll use different types of paper, pencils and paints to create "priceless" artworks.

Earthly Forces
Create your own windstorms, avalanches, earthquakes and volcano, and learn about the natural forces that shape our world.

Extreme Science
Experiment with everything you can get your hands on! Measure, observe, make and test theories. You'll be pleased, and perhaps surprised, by what you discover.

Fantasy and Adventure
Imagine if you could create a magical world filled with strange beasts, vile villains and thrilling adventures. You can! With pen, pencil and your own imagination. Write and illustrate your own fantasy and adventure tales.

Flying Art
Have a “whirlwind” of fun in this aviation education camp. You'll create art that "takes to the sky" -- paper airplanes, pinwheels, kites -- then you'll take them outside and put them to the test!

Groovy Growing
Grow your knowledge of planting from the roots up. You'll sprout a seed, eat a stem, and "branch out" for nature walks to find out who and what lives in our natural environment.

Invention Convention
Give your imagination a workout exploring the world of inventors and inventions. From the wacky to the wonderful, you'll brainstorm inventions aimed at solving real-life problems.

Junior Engineers
What keeps a big, heavy structure (like a bridge) from collapsing? Find out as you learn to plan and build your own structures using everyday items.

Kids Biz
Get in touch with your entrepreneurial side. You'll think up your own product or service and look at what's involved in setting up a business to market your idea. It may sound like business but it's really about starting something.

Machine Madness
Find out how mechanization affects your world. You'll be amazed to find out how important machines are to our lives, and how even simple machines can perform complex tasks.

Mixed Media
Materials will include a variety of drawing media for black-and-white and colour work, tempera and watercolour paints, clay and “found materials” to foster experimentation with artistic expression in two and three dimensions.

Music Mania
Get into the groove as you sing, dance, compose and generally experience the world of making music. The action all takes place at MUN's School of Music.

Outdoor Adventures
The university can be an exciting place as you'll find out. You'll explore the campus through an exciting mix of educational and recreational activities.

Plaisir de Soleil
Lifelong Learning, in co-operation with Canadian Parents for French, Northeast Avalon Chapter, is pleased to offer French immersion theme weeks this summer. We offer arts and crafts, story times, short trips, computer skills, and interactive games - all en français! Introduce your child to French or help them maintain and enrich their school-acquired skills.

Robotics
If you like LEGO you'll love Robotics camp! As a young programmer and engineer you'll build machines out of LEGO parts - including gears, wheels, motors, lights, sound elements and a variety of sensors - then hook them to a computer and control them with a program you write yourself!

School of Wizardry
"Attention wizards of Hogwarts” . . . Experience the lives of Harry and Hermoine in your own magical world. You may not get to handle eye-of-newt or dragon scales, but it'll be an enchanting time nonetheless.

Super Sleuth
Learn the basics of criminal investigation: e.g., fingerprints, and how what you discover can help you solve a mystery.

Space Adventure
Welcome future astronauts! Spend a week traveling to the far corners of our solar system. It's an exciting, week-long exploration of outer space.
