MUN Staff Development and Training

The university supports your development through training and education programs offered by the Division of Lifelong Learning.

All employees and retirees of Memorial University are eligible to apply for funding to attend non-credit courses for professional and/or skill development. Permanent employees, one year contractual employees and retirees are eligible to apply for funding for certificate programs.

Lifelong Learning Rich in Offerings

Our service offers you a host of professional development classes and/or programs. Examples include (but are not limited to):

• second language training; e.g., French, Spanish, Mandarin and ASL
• principles of fund-raising;
• leadership;
• workplace communications;
• team effectiveness;
• bookkeeping fundamentals;
• business writing;
• conflict resolution;
• project management, as well as
• professional designations in payroll and risk management.

The Division also offers you access to a rich selection of online learning resources including:

• eight professional development certificates, and
• more than 300 online courses.
