Ferryland Painting and Picnic Workshop
Acclaimed artist, Gerry Squires, led 11 painters, Sept. 10, on an artistic exploration of the Ferryland Downs, an area that has figured significantly in Squires' own creative legacy. The day included a picnic lunch provided by Lighthouse Picnics. Photos courtesy of Susan Parsons.

Deck the Halls
Participants in the Division's Deck the Halls: Holiday Decorating course, will be bringing a festive flair to their homes this Christmas with the beautiful wreaths and center pieces they are completing. The course is taking place over three Thursdays, Nov. 25 - Dec. 8, under the creative direction of Gehan Marbrouk. The pieces seen here are works-in-progress from the second class.

Computer-aided Drafting with AutoCAD (Levels 1 and 2)
In level one, long-time AutoCAD instructor and certified mechanical engineering technologist, Caroline Koenig, will introduce you to the basics of computer assisted drafting, (You'll create simple drawings and 3D models.) In level two, you'll continue to develop your technical drawing skills and will be introduced to more complex AutoCAD tools.

The Taste, History and Mystique
of Single-malt Scotch
Tue., Nov. 29, 24 Scotch enthusiasts joined wine and spirit's connoisseur, Tom Beckett, for a "nosing" comparison and discussion of six, single-malt Scotch whiskies, representing notable Scotch production regions in Scotland. The Scotch aficonados learned how to use aroma, appearance, mouth feel, flavour and finish to assess the various Scotches and to build "profiles" to aid them in their purchases of the bonny elixir.
