North West River Research Station
The North West River Research Station is the newest facility operated by the Labrador Institute. Co-located with the College of the North Atlantic's Learning Centre in North West River, Labrador, the Research Station also houses the municipal library.
The renovations of this space added resources to the Labrador Institute's facilities that will be important in a variety of capacities. This building has multi-purpose space that can be used for meetings and teaching, laboratory space, storage space, and office space. It also has accommodations space that will be available for university researchers.
This project was funded by the Arctic Research Infrastructure Fund (ARIF) and was administered by the provincial Department of Education. All the work was overseen by the provincial Department of Transportation and Works.
