Dr. Trudi Johnson


Dr. Trudi Johnson is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education. Born in St. John's and educated at Memorial University, she spent ten years teaching in the public school system before completing a Ph.D in legal history in 1998. Her current research interests include Social Studies education, effective teaching, distance education delivery, and Newfoundland legal history. She has published in the areas of innovative teaching strategies and property law.

For five years, she served as co-editor of Prospects, a journal that highlighted developments in technology in education in the province. She will be using historical methods to study the development the e-learning in the high schools of Newfoundland and Labrador.
