The Inco Innovation Centre/Atlantic Innovation Fund (AIF)
Research Project encompasses development and implementation of
Research and Development programs to be undertaken at the IIC in
two primary research areas - Earth Sciences and Process
Engineering.
The technical scope in these research areas revolves around eight
sub-projects in earth sciences and process engineering:
Earth Sciences
- Seismic detection and imaging of mineral deposits
- 3D characterization and immersive visualization of mineral deposits
- Geochemical and mineralogical characterization of mineral deposits
- Development of exploration methods
Process Engineering
- Hydrometallurgy and corrosion
- Process instrumentation and controls
- Process health and safety
- Process environmental engineering
