St. Lunaire-Griquet - Grenfell Coats

Louise Bussey is a textile craftsperson who makes Grenfell-style coats to be sold in Grenfell Handicrafts in St. Anthony. Her work follows the tradition closely, as each coat has a fur-lined hood and embroidered pockets. She is also a quilter who makes pieced and appliqued quilts that are both unqiue in design, and masterful in execution. Louise talks about the regional tradition of making Grenfell coats, as well as the materials and patterns she uses in her quilting practice.
