Flower's Cove - Sealskin Church

The Flower's Cove Anglican Church has a unique history that's closely linked to sealskin boot production. Under the guidance of Canon and Mrs. Richards, funding to build this church and keep it going, was generated through the sale of locally made sealskin boots. The basement was set up as a workshop and women from the community would gather here to sew the sealskin. The boots were then sold to people in the region who needed them. In the years since, this church has become known as the 'Sealskin Church'.
