Privacy Training Sessions

PRIVACY RULES! PRIVACY TOOLS!

TRAINING FOR EMPLOYEES

The information Access and Privacy Protection Office is pleased to offer regularly-scheduled privacy training sessions. Privacy Rules! Privacy Tools! are interactive, two-hour training sessions open to all employees. Employees who have not already completed Privacy Rules! Privacy Tools! with the IAPP Office are encouraged to attend.

Participants will examine a case study, do one or two privacy exercises, and learn the answers to questions like, "What can I tell the parents? And "Am I allowed to use this information for another purpose?" Training covers privacy policy requirements and tools to assist in complying with privacy law.

The university's privacy policy requires employees to take privacy training.

To register for any session, contact Ms. Ellen Wright at 864-8753 or ewright@mun.ca. Capacity is limited to twenty people per session. You may also request a separate session for employees in your unit. Contact Ellen Wright to make arrangements.
