Ergonomics and Occupational Testing

Health and safety in the workplace is becoming a growing concern in our daily lives. Our careers have become so involved in our lifestyles that it is important that we take the necessary precautions and procedures in order to work safely.

Ergonomic assessments are now available to all MUN employees through Allied Health Services in conjunction with the Department of Health and Safety. In recent years, the incidence of musculoskeletal injury in the workplace due to postural strain or contact stress has become a greater threat to productivity and quality of life. In order to effectively reduce the risk of injury at the workplace, ergonomic assessments identify and solve any risk areas within the work space.
