Anthropometric Measurements and Body Fat Analysis
Anthropometric measurements are used to give an indication of a person's body composition. The analysis helps determine how much fat mass and fat-free (muscle) mass a person has.
Anthropometric measurements include:
- Body Mass Index (BMI) Determination
- Waist Circumference
- Waist-to-Hip Ratio
Body Composition Analysis includes:
- Skinfold Measurements
- Hydrostatic weighing
Results of these measurements are useful for persons interested in knowing their calculated percent body fat and for monitoring the changes that occur with the incorporation of physical activity and optimal nutrition into a healthy lifestyle.
