Fourth year kinesiology honours student Nick Snow has received the Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS-M) award from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).
The award is valued at $17,500 for one year and is given out to the top-ranked postgraduate scholarships applicants based on their academic excellence, research potential, communication skills, and interpersonal and leadership abilities.
"It is an honour to have received such a distinction. However, it would never have happened without the advice, assistance, time and support from Drs. Fabien Basset and Jeannette Byrne. They were with me every step of the way, believing in me when I believed otherwise. Fabien even missed the Massey Lecture from Neil Turok because of it! In my opinion, we were awarded the CGS, rather than just me."
